Key Personnel
Simon Gerry, Chair
Simon Gerry is the former Chief Executive of an award-winning higher charity. Prior to his appointment as Chair of Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL), he has held previous roles within County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust as a Non-Executive Director, where he was Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Finance Committee, and prior to that was Lead Governor of the Trust.
Notably, he has also worked within the Ministry of Defence covering resource management, corporate governance, and human resources, and as a former Director of Support Services has significant experience working in the estates and property management fields.
Steve Crossland, Non-Executive Director
Steve spent the bulk of his career in the private sector working for major utility and aviation companies focusing on human resources, governance, and risk, ultimately working at Director level.
Steve now runs his own HR and change consultancy with a number of UK and European clients in a variety of sectors covering chemicals and processing, transport and logistics, media services, financial services, and higher education.
Steve is also a Non-Executive Director of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.
Alison McCree, Managing Director
Alison has over 39 years’ experience working in facilities management and became the Managing Director of Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL), 1 April 2017. Alison’s primary role is to lead the Company and its workforce to ensure the successful delivery of the Company’s strategic aims and objectives.
Alison has been actively involved in a number of National work programmes aimed at improving Estates and Facilities Services over many years.
Rachel Morrissey, Director of Finance
Rachel joined Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) on 1 June 2020 as Director of Finance. Rachel is a Chartered Accountant with 30 years’ experience working within the private and public sectors across a variety of roles, most recently a Finance Director for a social housing provider and a Senior Finance Manager for a large construction company.
Rachel is responsible for the finances of SCL and also oversees Procurement and PFI management. Rachel provides leadership and advice on all financial matters including performance and contract management, budgetary control, and business cases.
